Pricing requires an apples-to-apples comparison

Cadence starts at $2.49 CAD per month when billed annually, but that plan does not include bank syncing. Cadence+ is $4.99 CAD per month annually for up to three synced banks, while Premium is $8.99 CAD per month annually for unlimited syncing.

Finnomia Core is $5.99 CAD per month when billed annually and includes up to two connected financial accounts. Advanced is $8.99 CAD per month annually with unlimited connected accounts. Finnomia also offers monthly billing, while Cadence currently sells annual subscriptions.

For someone who does not need bank sync, Cadence is clearly less expensive. For someone who does, the appropriate comparison is Cadence+ or Premium against the relevant Finnomia plan—not Cadence’s manual base price against Finnomia’s connected plan.

Where Cadence is broader

Cadence supports native iOS, Android and web apps today. It also supports CAD, USD and GBP, lists a wider collection of Canadian and US registered account types, includes net worth across its plans and supports connecting an external AI assistant through MCP.

Where Finnomia is more guided

Finnomia combines connected accounts with a dedicated Debt Freedom Planner, financial forecasting, Canadian contribution-room tracking and retirement scenarios using CPP and OAS. Its Family plan adds a shared household view and budgets for up to five people.

Finnomia also connects Canadian institutions through both Plaid and Flinks. Cadence’s synced-account flow uses Plaid only, so Finnomia can cover institutions that are weak or missing on a Plaid-only connection.

The distinction is less about which product is “more Canadian” and more about which workflow, coverage and planning tools the user wants.
